LA-LA-LAZY
The theme for LUTIKI’s first collection was laziness — the state of minimal resistance to reality, which sometimes gives space for ideas that are brilliant in their simplicity. Sonya Soltes was inspired by the tranquil rhythm of Los Angeles, where she often travels for work as a costume designer and stylist. Hence the name of the collection — LA-LA-LAZY, by analogy with the Oscar-winning musical with Emma Stone.
The first LUTIKI episode is a mix of surfer's motives and exaltic moods. The designer created knitted tie-dye dresses, sun-bleached parkas and volumetric scarves, that look as if they were made of terry towels. The collection’s hit are golden and silver bracelets, resembling plastic hair scrunchies that LA girls wear on a wrist not to lose them.
